Topeka Common Ground at the Kansas City Community Gardens

On October 15th, Rosemary, Wendy, and Cari had the wonderful opportunity to accompany a Girl Scouts Troop to the Kansas City Community Gardens. Their website is kccg.org. We got some great photographs as well as lessons on some of the vast variety of plants they grow at the gardens. We saw toothache plants, lettuce, spinach, succulents, papyrus, cotton, snake gourds, chia, patchouli, basil, peppers, and MUCH MUCH more. What a fun day!
Here the girls are in the entrance to the gardens.

Here’s a view of the lettuces. They were beautiful little sculptures!
